Chapter History

Sigma Sigma Sigma - Gamma Lambda chapter was chartered in December of 1963 at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.

Our mission is to establish among its members a perpetual bond of friendship, to develop in them strong womanly character, and to impress upon them high standards of conduct. Sigma Sigma Sigma inspires exceptional life long learning and friendships and reaffirms its long standing core values of wisdom, power, faith, hope and love.

Locally, Gamma Lambda works for the Special Olympics every semester and participates in Relay for Life and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. At the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire we help out with local schools and work on raising money for play therapy for hospitalized children through our own Dash in the Dark and other philanthropy events!
