Letter from the Recruitment Chair
Thank you for showing interest in Sigma Sigma Sigma at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
I’m Emily Skoog, the Membership Recruitment Director for the Gamma Lambda chapter
of Tri Sigma. I am a Sociology major, Spanish minor, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality
Studies certificate. I joined Sigma my freshman year, fall of 2018, and am forever grateful I
made that decision. Tri Sigma has provided me opportunities to excel in so many ways, and has
given me a chance to connect with so many unique and amazing women.
Transitioning into college was very difficult for me because I didn’t know anyone on
campus and was far away from home. I wanted to make meaningful friendships and discover
who I was in college, and I can proudly say that I did just that by going Greek. I have met my
best friends, who are always by my side, and I have personally become more confident,
knowledgeable, and happy through my time within Sigma. Tri Sigma provides academic
support, opportunities to be involved on campus, volunteering, leadership positions, meaningful
friendships, and so much more!
This organization has given so much to me, but I am even more excited about what Tri
Sigma can do for you! We will be looking to add a few new women to our sisterhood through
informal recruitment within the next few weeks. If you’re interested in finding out what joining our
chapter has to offer you, please don’t hesitate to contact me at email@example.com!
